My team leader, Linda Bauwin, offers a monthly team Sketch Inspiration Challenge. Sketches act as a blueprint, detailing placement for layers, shapes and sentiments. Sketches can help you create cards quickly while encouraging your individual creativity.
Here’s the sketch challenge-

For my card, I used the sketch as a starting point, but mixed-up the elements just a little bit. That’s the fun part of a sketch-it gives you the freedom to add, delete or move things around to create a one-of-a-kind creation.

I started with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Gorgeous Grape Two Tone Cardstock. Two Tone Cardstock features a white inner core with the true shade on one side and a lighter tone of the same color on the other side. It’s lighter than traditional cardstock, but a litter heavier than designer series paper. This makes it ideal for card layering and scrapbook pages. I used the new Twirls of Magic embossing folder with a piece of Smoky Slate Two Tone Cardstock. I love this embossing folder! You can add texture with swirls and stars to make perfect accents for Halloween, Christamas as well as everyday projects.
The other elements on my card are from the Web of Fun Bundle. These stamps and dies are designed for scrapbooking, but I’ll be using them for future Halloween cards and Home Decor projects. The Bats Ghosts & Dots embellishments will add a sprinkling of sweet and spooly fun to all your seasonal crafting projects. The assortment consists of bats, ghosts, and black and white dots. All are adhesive-backed for easy placement!
The spider web was die-cut using the new Shimmery Stripes Specialty Designer Series Paper. This glittery striped silkscreen style paper will add sparkle to your all your crafting projects.
