A Sweet Bugs Creative Fold Card

There ‘s nothing quite like the joy of opening a card and finding a fun, unexpected twist inside. Creative fold cards (sometimes called fancy folds) are one of my absolute favorite projects to share because they provide the recipient an unexpected surprise.

Today, I’m sharing a playful, multi-flap creative fold card featuring the absolutely adorable Stampin’ Up!® Sweet Bugs Bundle.

Here is a look at the front of this cheerful project:

For this card, I wanted to create a whimsical woodland scene. The front panel features a trio of marching ants—complete with a tiny horn and a flag—stepping out to say a big “Hello Friend.”

I paired these sweet little critters with a Real Red card base, leafy green Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper, a tiny snail, a butterfly, and a couple of earthy mushrooms growing among flowers at the bottom.

Because of how the panels overlap, it creates a beautiful window effect that makes you want to open it up immediately for a fun surprise.

Inside, the card opens to reveal plenty of room for a hand-written message . I added a tiny dragonfly at the top left to anchor the sentiment “LOVE YOU LOTS,” and tucked another small cluster of mushrooms into the bottom right corner. This type of card layout is perfect for when you want to show someone extra love with a unique, hand-crafted touch.
