Reason to Celebrate

So, have you needed a card for a specific milestone or occasion and realize that you don’t have a stamp set for that occasion? Yeah, I know, hard to believe, but that was the situation I recently faced. A very dear friends twins graduated high school and I needed graduation cards. I had a sentiment set, Reason to Celebrate, but I was drawing a blank on how to use just the words to make a card.

I was in my stamp room pondering my dilemma, when I spied the Father’s Day card I had made for my dad featured on my May 24th blog post.

The above card provided the inspiration for the graduation cards below-

All cards share the same layout, but in different positions – portrait vs. landscape. I focused on making the Splash of Sparkles Designer Series Paper and the bold congratulations stamp from the Reason to Celebration stamp set the focal points of my cards. I stamped the greeting with VersaMark ink and heat set with black embossing powder. I used Metallic Gems on the stripe card and Frosted Iridescent Dots on the circle one. The Iridescent Dots were a Last Chance Item and is no longer available.

To step up the inside, I matted the greeting to a piece of coordinating Two Tone cardstock featured from the front of the card. I’m so happy with these cards! What do you think?
