We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop – Giving Thanks

Hello and thank you for visiting my post today for the We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop – Giving Thanks.  It seems that the stresses of everyday life often gets in the way of being able to acknowledge the blessings in our lives.  At times, I know I'm guilty of not fully acknowledging all the blessings I have in my life.  I believe the gift of thanks adds to our blessings and in turn, grows our ability to be a blessing to others.  I'm making a commitment to write down at lease three things I'm thankful for each day for the next 30 days.  I would love for you to join me on this journey of giving thanks on a daily basis!

I'm thankful to be able to view and appreciate the beautiful fall colors of NE Ohio, even though I don't like what comes afterward – cold temperatures and snow!

I used Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam and Basic Beige for my card, which are definitely NOT traditional fall colors, but look great together.  I stamped each leaf, from the Autumn Leaves stamp set, with Lost Lagoon and Soft Sea Foam inks.  I love how these stamps give you a two-tone image.  I then stamped the vein using Pretty Peacock ink.   The leaves and greeting were popped out using the coordinating Autumn Leaves dies.

I embossed a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock with the Distressed Tile embossing folder and mounted it to a Basic White card base.  The leaves and greeting were mounted to a piece of Basic Beige cardstock that was cut out with a Deckled Circle die and then embossed with the Birchwood embossing folder.  I added some Blooming Pearls to finish my project.

This card reminds me to enjoy the beauty in each day!
