We Bee Stamping Team Blog Hop – Fun Fold Card

Team Blog Hop Header

Thank you for joining me today for the We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop featuring Fun Fold Cards.  I offer in-person classes and my monthly line-up usually included a Creative/Fancy Fold Class.  At my these classes, each card starts with  making a "practice" or template card for that fold before moving on to the "real" card.  Check out my class schedule here.

I have two tips when I'm trying out a new creative fold or 3D item.  First, I always start with making a sample using "crappy" cardstock, as in non- Stampin' Up! cardstock.  After trashing several sheets of Stampin' Up! cardstock, I now only use my "good stuff" (Stampin' Up! cardstock) once I've worked out all the project details.  Second, stamping should be fun!  There have been plenty of times where I've been frustrated because my project just isn't "working out".  So instead of muttering some not-so-nice-words, I just take a break.  I then go back to my project with a clear mind and have fun being creative!

The fun fold card I'm featuring will be one of the cards at my June Creative/Fancy Fold Class.  This card was super easy to make, which is always a plus in my book.

The neat thing with this fold is that the two side panels are tucked behind the front panel.  How cool is that!  The forest scene is from the Quiet Reflection stamp set and the greeting is from Something Fancy.  Both were stamped with Misty Moonlight.  I layerd the stamped panel onto Misty Moonlight and Blackberry Bliss cardstock panels.  I finished my card by adding some Ombre Matte Decorative Dots.

  1. Stunning card! I appreciate your “tips” too. Sometime just stepping away from a project really helps my creating.
