Masculine and Feminine Biggest Wish Card

Don't reinvent the wheel when creating "dude" cards.  You can easily take a layout you like and "man it up" for the guys in you life.  Keep the following in mind to create easy masculine cards-

  • Use a more masculine stamp set.
  • Choose less feminine colors.  Think stronger/deeper colors.
  • Designer Series Paper with a plaid or strip pattern will add a pop of interest.
  • Go ahead and add embellishments. Just use a different type like enamel dots and twine.

This card is a perfect example of a feminine card.  Using the Biggest Wish stamp set, I stamped on a piece of the gorgeous Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper and mounted it to a Magenta Madness card base.  I added Polished Pink Open Weave ribbon and 2021-23 In Color Jewels.  This is a very simple and easy card to make.  The Designer Series Paper does all the work.

Now, let's take the same layout and "man it up" for a masculine card.

Following the above  guidelines, I still used the Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper, just a piece with darker colors.  My greeting was stamped using Pear Pizzazz and Shaded Spruce inks.  I skipped the ribbon, but still added some bling with the Genial Gems to tie in the hint of gold in the Designer Series Paper. Easy-peasy masculine card.
