Ink in a Nutshell – Part 2
I've reviewed solvent and pigment based ink, today will focus on dye based ink, which dyes the card stock and is quick to dry.
Classic Stampin' Pads feature a firm foam pad with a flip-top that stores ink upside down to keep the pad moist. Stampin' Up! stamp pads coordinates with Stampin' Up! card stock, Stampin' Write Markers and Classic Stampin' Ink Refills. Ink is acid free and archival safe. Classic Stampin' Pads are best for basic stamping or for a tone-on-tone look when stamping on colored card stock.
Classic Stampin' Ink Refills refresh Stampin' pads to keep the pads fresh and well inked. They can also be used for various techniques such as refilling ink pads, dyeing, spritzing or coloring. To refill a pad, put a few drops of ink onto the ink pad and use a bone folder to spread and work the ink into the surface of the ink pad. Acid free and archival safe.
Stampin' Write Markers are dual tipped with a .5 mm fine point for detail coloring and journaling, and a flexible brush tip for coloring and inking stamps. Markers are acid free and archival safe. Stampin' Write Markers are best for writing, and coloring directly on stamps and paper. Store markers horizontally.
Memento Ink is another dye based ink that is fade resistant, alcohol resistant and fast drying. I LOVE Menento ink. This ink is good with all stamping, from fine details to even coverage for bold images. Keep the ink pad fresh with the Memento Refill.
