Glimmer Christmas Tree

Did you catch my post and video from September 15th that featured a Christmas Tree from Designer Series Paper scraps?

Video #3088 DSP Christmas Tree

If not, click here to view that post and watch the video on how easy it was to make this card.  The above card is great for a very basic and simple card layout using scraps of Designer Series Paper.

I took that concept and decided to "spruce" it up a bit by adding thin strips of Festive Glimmer Paper from the new Mini Catalog.

Glimmer Christmas Tree

Say what??  Yelp, there's Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler and Granny Apple Green Glimmer Paper on page 53 in the Mini Catalog.  Don't feel bad if you didn't see this paper – I didn't either!  As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I get to pre-order products from Stampin' Up! catalogs before that catalog is release to the public (one perk of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator).  In fact, I didn't even know it existed until my upline showed it to me!

Once I had the new Glimmer Paper in my hot little hands, I decided to give my basic Designer Series Paper tree a bling upgrade.  I attached the Take a Bow Designer Series Paper strips onto Granny Green cardstock and popped them up with mini dimensionals.  I added thin strips of Granny Green Glimmer Paper to give my tree some "pizzazz".  The tiny star at the top of the tree is from the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Designer Series Paper and was also attached with a mini dimensional.

All of the Stampin' Up! supplies used to make this card are available in my online store – just click on an image to shop

Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting my blog!
