Creepy & Creative: A Fun Stand-Up Halloween Card Layout

For this Halloween card, I wanted a classic, punchy Halloween palette with a lot of depth. The card base features the vibrant Timid Tiger cardstock, beautifully balanced layers of Basic Black cardstock.

The main focal point features a bold, eye-catching “Happy Halloween” greeting. The happy is from the Raven’s Tale stamp set.

The inside greeting, Eat, Drink & Be Scary, is from the Soiree Salutations stamp set. This stamp set offers all your favorite holiday sentiments in one set. It has greetings for Halloween, Thanksgivings, Christmas, New Year’s and Valentine’s Day. The variety of options makes it easy to create cards for every occasions.

I layered the spiderweb design rom the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper. The spider was attached with black dimensionals and acts as a “stopper” enabling the card to remain upright. When working with black or dark cardstock white dimensionals can easily peek through the sides. Black dimensionals blend perfectly into the shadows when viewed from any angle.

Have you tried Stampin’ Up! Two Tone cardstock yet? It’s a complete game changer for adding layers without adding bulk to your projects. This paper features a true to color on one side and a lighter color shade on the reverse side providing extra color options.
