Beautiful Butterflies Shaker Card
Do you think shaker cards are too complicated to make? Not with Stampin’ Up! Flip Flaps. What are Flip Flaps? They’re exactly what they sound like—flaps that you attach to a page that flip to reveal additional photos, sentiments, or designs. Flip Flaps come in a variety of sizes and orientations and can be positioned anywhere on a page thanks to their self-adhesive strip. If you’re of a “certain age”, I’m sure your parents or grandparents had photo albums with flip flaps.
Well, flip flaps can also be used to make shaker card. I recently had a Shaker Card Class using flip flaps. Fill your flip flap with shaker elements, seal, attach and you have a unique and fun card.

I stamped the large butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set on to a piece of Bokeh Designer Series Paper and slipped it into a flip flap and added some loose shaker elements . I die cut the butterfly from a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock and embossed with the exposed brick embossing folder and attached using foam adhesive strips. Stamped my greeting and ta-da, a really cute and easy shaker card.

I made this one using Balmy Blue cardstock and will add a happy birthday greeting. The Beautiful Butterflies Bundle was just added to the Last Chance List, so if this set is on your wish list, grab it before it’s gone!
