Noble Peacock Merry Wishes

This is one of the cards from my Christmas in July card class.  I wanted to feature a card with some glam so I pulled out the Noble Peacock Designer Series paper and the Noble Peacock foil paper in Old Olive and got to work.  I wanted the focal point to be the pretty foil papers, so I kept the greeting simple.  I would love receiving this card in the mail, wouldn't you?DSCN2547[1]
I used the Merry Christmas dies to die-cut the Merry twice from the Basic Black cardstock and then used the cardstock as the mat layer for the foil papers.  This is a great way to get double use from your cardstock.  I them stacked the die cuts together to give the greeting more dimension.  The White Metallic edge ribbon was colored with the Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to match the foil paper.  Love those Stampin' Blends markers!

I would to have to attend the Christmas in August card class.  Just click on Events at the top of my blog for my complete class schedule.

Until next time-

Leigh
