What Was I Thinking?

My blog, Samp with Leigh, was established to share my stamping cards and projects.  From time to time, I will mention tid-bits of my personal life, but my posts are about my stamping business.  Today I'm sharing some personal information that has me asking myself, what in the world was I thinking????

I had my house built in 1998, and other than some very minor updates (paint, carpet, light fixtures) my house really hasn't changed much.  In March, my wall oven, that had been serviced twice in the past 25-years, decided it was tired and was going to take a break.  Since I wasn't going to invest money into a oven that old, I thought this would be a perfect time to remodel my kitchen.  I could envision new cabinets, flooring and a wine fridge/beverage area replacing the wall oven unit. No, I was not using "recreational pharmaceuticals" at the time, but maybe I should have been!

So, I currently have my kitchen table, fridge and toaster oven in my great room-

Kitchen cabinets and counter tops have beem removed and I'm currently waiting for the ceramic tile demo and then it's on to painting and installing new cabinets.

I'm hopeful that the remodel will be completed by the first of the year, just in time for my classes to resume!
