This month, our theme is all about Cards of Gratitude, and I’m excited to share a warm, autumn-inspired project with you that focuses on beautiful layers.

When thinking about gratitude, my mind goes to the golden warmth of autumn and the joy of sharing handmade love. Today’s card captures that cozy feeling perfectly using a gorgeous grid layout that lets your favorite patterned papers shine.

For this project, I leaned into a rich, fall color palette using Golden Glow and Pecan Pie cardstocks. The magic really happens in the background layout, where I cut small squares of the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper to create a clean, modern grid. This is an amazing way to showcase different coordinating patterns—from plaid to floral—without overwhelming the design.

I stamped the sunflower from the Radiant Sunflowers Bundle with Early Espresso ink and used Golden Glow, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to bring the images to life with smooth, vibrant blending. After cutting it out with the coordinating dies, I popped it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals over the top-left square of the grid to create depth and focus. The sentiment “grateful for you” is from the Elegant Leaves stamp set and was also stamped in Early Espresso ink and attached in the bottom right corner to balance the layout. A few Painted Patch Dots scattered across the panels add just the right touch of texture and and dimension to finish off the design.
