I’m hoping that Spring will be making an appearance in Northeast Ohio soon! I have seen a few robins in my yard and am looking forward to spring flowers, sunny skies and warm breezes.

What better way to celebrate the beauty of spring than with the Springtime Scenes Bundle. This bundle features stamps and dies with playful ladybugs, delicate leaves, vibrant florals and elegant borders. The stamps add cheerful sentiments and bright designs, while the dies bring texture and dimension for nature inspired projects. Combined, they made it easy for you to create a spring themed card.

I pulled out the Mixed-Up Patterns Designer Series Paper to compliment the leaves and ladybugs in my card. This Designer Series Paper is a great versatile paper pack. It has chic chevrons, realistic wood textures, soft florals and subtle stripes and is perfect for backgrounds and layering for your cards as well as scrapbook pages.

The leaves were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Old Olive Stampin Blends. The cute lady bugs were colored with Real Red and Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. Do you see the shine on the ladybugs?

After coloring the lady bugs, I applied Versa Mark ink, clear embossing powder and then set with my heat tool. I love using this easy technique to add glossy finish to my projects. Make sure to let the embossing cool before die cutting.

I added a Daffodil Delight and Old Olive two-tone cardstock to the inside of the card. I love using two-tone cardstock for layering without adding extra bulk or weight to my cards.

This is a “hinge fold” card and is so easy to make. Make sure to come back to my blog on April 5th for a video featuring this fold and card.
