We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop Fun with Blocks

Hello and welcome to the We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop Fun with Blocks

The theme this month was to focus on the block techniques featured on pages 110-111 in the Annual Catalog. Say what?? What block techniques in the catalog? When the new Annual Catalog comes out, I’m so focused on seeing and exploring the new that I don’t take the time to actually look at other areas of the catalog. The Stampin’ Up! catalog is a great resource for card and scrapbook design layouts, endless color combinations and techniques! So, after turning to page 110, I found a brand new to me stamping technique – Repeat It. For this technique, take a clear acrylic block, ink the side, stamp and repeat. This is a fun and easy technique that uses supplies you already have.

I used a “D” block with Petal Pink and Crumb Cake inks to randomly stamp onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. No rhyme or reason, just random stamping with each color. I then mounted this to layers of Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Two-Tone cardstock. Have you tried the Two-Tone cardstock yet? This is my go-to cardstock for layering without adding bulk and weight to my projects.

My greeting is from the Banner Sayings Bundle, an Online Exclusive, and was stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I punched it out with the coordinating Three Banner punch. I also punched additional banners with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow cardstock and layered together. After wrapping the greeting with Linen tread and a bow, I attached it with mini dimensionals. The flower is from the Swirled Designs Dies, another Online Exclusive and was colored using Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. These dies are part of a bundle that I didn’t use on this project. I added some Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots (Online Exclusive) to finish my project.

I hope you give this technique a try! Now, let’s see what Fun with Blocks techniques my We BEE Stamping teammates have to share with you.
