I think this card is so stinkin' cute!   Using molding paste adds a great dimensional background to this card.  No, Stampin' Up! does not sell molding paste, unless it shows up in the new annual catalog.  You can either make your own (tried it and didn't like it) or do what I did and buy it from a craft store.

I used the Hexagon Hive Thinlit to make a stencil and applied a very THIN layer of molding paste to watercolor paper.  You will need to let this layer completely dry before stamping.  I used my heat gun to gently apply heat to speed up the drying process.  I sponged Daffodil Yellow and stamped the bee from the Garden in Bloom stamp set in Memento Tuxedo  Black ink.  I added Wink of Stella Clear to the wings and Gold to the body of the bee.  I finished it off with some random scattering of gold sequins.  This was a technique showcased at one of my monthly Technique Classes.

Click on the Events tab at the top to see a listing of all my upcoming classes.

Products Used:  Hexagon Hive Thinlits, Garden in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set, Gold Sequin Trim, Wink of Stella Clear and Gold.

Thank you for stopping by today!
