Stamped Edge Die Cut Technique

I love a good challenge, especially when I'm able to recreate it without going crazy!  I stumbled across a card with a stamped die cut edge and thought, hey, how hard could it be to make a card like that.  Well, it wasn't a walk in the park, but I managed to figure it out with the help of my Stamparatus.

Stamped Edge Die Cut

I stamped the trees from the Whimsical Trees stamp set using Soft Succulent ink a row and then did a partial die cut using the Christmas Trees dies.  This resulted in the top of the trees remaining attached to the cardstock.  I used a craft knife to remove the excess cardstock between the trees.

The Merry Christmas is from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set and was heat embossed with silver embossing power.  The Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper and a thin strip of Silver Foil Specialty paper was added to the bottom of the card.

I finished the card using Wink of Stella on the trees and adding silver stars.
