Nature’s Harvest Stepped-Up Card
Here's another card from my Fall/Thanksgiving Step-it Up Class. The card show below is the "basic" card layout using the Nature's Harvest Bundle. Stampin' Up! offers stamp sets and coordinating die as a Bundle, saving you 10%.
The "basic" card is is a piece of Basic White cardstock embossed with the Timeworn Embossing folder. I used a Blending Brush to add a light layer of Crushed Curry ink to the embossed panel and then my Paper Snips to distress the edges. This was mounted on a Crumb Cake card base. The greeting was stamped with Versamark ink onto Basic Black cardstock, heat embossed with White Embossing Powder and popped up with black dimensionals.
I "stepped-up" the basic layout by adding a dramatic Ombre pane. I created the Ombre effect by adding Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze inks to a piece of Shimmery White cardstock with Blending Brushes. The Shimmery White panel was then cut into sections using my Paper Trimmer. Matter Black Dots were added for some extra pop.
I like both cards, but the "stepped-up" version really grabs your attention with the Ombre effect against the black.
If you live in the Mentor, Ohio area I would love to have you attend a class. Please click on EVENTS at the top of my blog for class listings.
