Falling for Foil and a Special Catalog Gift

Welcome back to my blog everyone! I’m excited to share a card using products from the new Stampin’ Up! catalog and Online Exclusives.

Today’s card is all about rich textures, warm metallic shine and with a cozy fall vibe. Whether you want to tell someone how much they mean to you or just to celebrate the season, this card is sure to inspire your next card session.

For this design, I wanted a color palette that feels like a crisp autumn afternoon. I paired Very Vanilla, Golden Glow and Cajun Craze cardstocks to set a comforting tone. Check out the background. I ran Golden Glow cardstock through the new Softly Woven embossing folder to give it a rich, fabric like texture. Love this embossing folder! Nestled in the center is a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes dies, framing a gorgeous plaid pattern from the brand new Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper.

The real showstoppers on this card are the layered leaves. I used the incredible new Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil dies alongside the Stampin’ Up! Hot Foil System to create shimmering, elegant outlines. To bring them to life, I blended a beautiful mix of Cajun Craze, Golden Glow, and Old Olive inks.

To tie everything together, I added a crisp sentiment banner stamped from the Soiree Solutions stamp set, cut with the trusty Three Banner punch, a rustic, textured bow from the Neutrals Jute Combo Pack (another catalog newbie) and a few scattered Dew Drops Embellishments. I custom colored these clear drops with a Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends alcohol marker so they match the cardstock flawlessly.
